Natalie Walker
President, P&C Federation

Natalie Walker is the Far West Councillor & elected President of NSW P&C Federation. She resides in Forbes, Central West NSW, with her husband and two children who attend Forbes High School. Natalie is also an active member of Forbes High School P&C Association, currently in the role of Secretary.

As a passionate advocate for (and product of) public education, Natalie is deeply committed through her professional and volunteer work to ensuring all children and young people get the best start in life. Based in NSW, this means her effort is focussed on strengthening the foundations of key organisations – and particularly the NSW P&C Federation – as valuable stakeholders, partners and contributors to NSW public schools and the system they operate in.

Melissa Porter
President, Lugarno Public School P&C Association 

Mel is the President of the Lugarno Public School P&C Association and it’s her 5th year as President. She joined the P&C when her oldest son started Kindergarten and came home from my first P&C meeting as a member of the Fundraising Committee. The next year she took on the Vice President role, stepping into the President role the following year. Outside of P&C she is a mum to two boys, in year 6 and year 3, and a Solicitor. She is currently working on a research project at the University of Wollongong and has just commenced her PhD in Law.

Lucy Lamont
President, Umina Beach Public School P&C Association

Lucy started as a volunteer in her P&C and reluctantly took the role of President when it seemed no one else was going to do it. Pivoting the focus of the P&C from fundraising to raising community profile and connections, Lucy has seen volunteer numbers are up 500%, fundraising is up 300% and in September last year Lucy bought 8 of her team to our Awards Dinner where her P&C won the P&C Association of the Year. Beyond P&C Lucy works part time, volunteers across multiple areas of our school and has 4 children under 11.

Owen Sargeant
President, Emu Heights Public School P&C Association

Owen has been involved with Emu Heights Public school for over 40 years. This is his second time with the P&C, the first was when his children attended, and then now for the second time with his grandchildren attending. 4 years ago he decided to take on the role of President and, during this time, managing the ups and downs of covid in a school environment. He says he carries out the role not as a chore but with great pride and honour to be part of the school and all involved with Emu Heights P&C.
