Reflecting on her time as President, Yvonne said, “It has been a privilege to serve as President and work alongside so many passionate volunteers who share a vision for stronger school communities. I am delighted to pass the baton to Aresha. Her energy, expertise, and commitment to supporting parents and students make her the perfect leader for this role. I am confident that under her guidance, the Federation will continue to thrive.”

Aresha Quaass brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to advocating for the needs of P&C Associations. Her leadership will focus on building partnerships, enhancing resources for school communities, and empowering parents to play an active role in education. Following her appointment as President, Aresha shared, “I am truly honoured to take on this role. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Yvonne for her incredible work and unwavering dedication. Her guidance, passion, and commitment to excellence have left an outstanding legacy, and it is a privilege to continue building on the foundation she has established. Our P&C Associations are the backbone of school communities, and I am committed to ensuring they have the resources, support, and recognition they deserve. I look forward to working closely with CEO Gemma Quinn and the Board to drive initiatives that benefit students, families, and public education across NSW.”

CEO Gemma Quinn acknowledged Yvonne’s outstanding contributions and expressed her enthusiasm for working with Aresha in this new chapter. “Yvonne has been a tireless advocate and a driving force for positive change within the Federation. Her leadership has left an indelible mark, and while we will miss her in this role, we are excited about the future with Aresha at the helm. Aresha’s vision and collaborative approach will be instrumental in advancing our strategic priorities and nurturing a culture of inclusion and innovation.”

Under Aresha’s leadership, the P&C Federation will continue its mission to resource and empower P&C Associations across the state, ensuring that school communities are supported and parents can actively contribute to public education.

Aresha will formally begin her duties in the new year. The P&C Federation invites all members to join in expressing gratitude to Yvonne Hilsz for her exceptional service and in extending a warm welcome to Aresha Quaass as the new President of the Board.
