We are delighted to welcome Georgina Harrisson, Secretary, NSW Department of Education to the 2023 Back-to-School Webinar hosted by P&C Federation NSW.

Especially for parents and carers, the Secretary will welcome you to the new school year and provide an opportunity for you to ask questions. You will be able to  pre-submit your questions for the webinar when you register to attend or there will be the opportunity to ask questions in the Q&A at the webinar. Please note that the cut-off for pre-submitted questions is 10:00 am on 2 February.

Georgina Harrisson
Secretary, NSW Department of Education

Georgina Harrisson is the Secretary of the NSW Department of Education and is committed to ensuring that our public schools are among the best in the world. Georgina is a thoughtful leader in public policy and administration, with a passion for turning ideas into reality.

Georgina has over 20 years’ experience across a range of government agencies in NSW, the Australian Government and in the UK.  Most recently, she has led the NSW Education Transformation agenda and was responsible for our highly regarded COVID-19 response.  Georgina’s experience has given her great cause for optimism about the power of public service to positively influence people’s lives – the purpose that drives her work.

Georgina holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Birmingham.

Natalie Walker
President, P&C Federation NSW

Natalie Walker is the Far West Councillor & elected President of P&C Federation NSW. She resides in Forbes, Central West NSW, with her husband and two children who attend Forbes High School. Natalie is also an active member of Forbes High School P&C Association, currently in the role of Secretary.

As a passionate advocate for (and product of) public education, Natalie is deeply committed through her professional and volunteer work to ensuring all children and young people get the best start in life. Based in NSW, this means her effort is focussed on strengthening the foundations of key organisations – and particularly P&C Federation NSW – as valuable stakeholders, partners and contributors to NSW public schools and the system they operate in.
