This P&C Federation webinar, featuring a panel of representatives from the NSW Department of Education and the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA), will answer questions about the staged return to school and the HSC exams in a COVID-19-safe environment to ensure the safety of students and staff.

In response to feedback from people who attended the first webinar Returning to school in a COVID-safe way, this webinar will be presented in two parts to separate topics about HSC from other information about returning to school in a COVID-19-safe environment:

7:00-7:45 pm The staged return to school

7:45-8:30 pm HSC exams

Ruth Owens
A/Group Deputy Secretary, School Improvement & Education Reform
Department of Education
Ruth is currently acting as Group Deputy Secretary of the School Improvement and Education Reform Group. In this role, she is responsible for the delivery of improvements across the lifelong learning journey covering schools, early childhood education and vocational education, and the operation of NSW public school system

 

Paul Martin
Chief Executive Officer
NSW Education Standards Authority
Paul Martin is the Chief Executive Officer of NESA. Prior to his appointment as CEO in 2019, Paul was the Executive Director, Quality Teaching at NESA and before that the Manager of Professional Learning and Initial Teacher Education at the former NSW Institute of Teachers (NSWIT).Paul played a key role in the implementation of the NSW Government’s Great Teaching, Inspired Learning initiative with both NESA and the NSWIT and has been a policy advisor for NSW and Australian Governments. Paul was previously an English History Teacher.
